last updated 31 october 2026. kaun hai? is a daily guessing game made by sankalp phadnis. this page says what the app keeps about you, why, and how to delete it.
what the app keeps
- a random player id, made the first time you open the app. it isn't your name, email or phone number.
- your games: the questions you type, the answers you got, your guesses, strikes and results, so your streak and stats work.
- sign in with apple, if you use it: only the anonymous identifier apple gives the app. the app doesn't ask apple for your name or email.
- a push token and your reminder setting, if you allow notifications, to send the daily reminder.
- your platform and app version, to keep the app working on your phone.
- reports you send about an answer, with the note you add.
- app events such as "game won" or "question asked", tied to your player id, to see how the game is played.
who else sees it
- typesafe.ai (jev) receives the questions you type, without your player id, to answer them. answers are shared by everyone who asks the same question that day.
- render hosts the game's server and database, in singapore.
- expo delivers notifications and app updates.
- posthog receives app events, when analytics is on.
nothing is sold, there are no ads, and the app doesn't track you across other apps or websites.
deleting it
in the app, go to settings → delete my account and data. your games, stats, streak and account are deleted for good. data is kept until you do that. you can also email phadnis.sankalp691@gmail.com and i'll delete it for you.
